In this clip I talk about Pushing as a skill in CSL Wing Chun. When to use it, why you would use it. Plus when you should not use it. Also the important use of the body to generate the push power not the shoulders. Power should come from the body, it you push via your upper body only then it is easy to counter.
Wing Chun is close range system so once you bridge you want to stay in and pressure fight your opponent. If you push it should be to off set balance and control your opponent. If you eject your opponent with a push it should be for a good reason. Plus you should be aware that a real opponent will be punching back as you push them away.
